Austin Wildlife Rescue offers educational programs about native Texas wildlife to schools and community groups. Staff and rehabilitators teach both children and adults about local wildlife and what we, as an organization, can do to help.

  • Our facilities are closed to visitors, but we travel offsite to meet your group.

  • We align our school presentations with TEKS core requirements.

  • We outline the importance of different wildlife species and the role they play in the environment.

  • Hold open discussions about wildlife that people have encountered.

  • Answer questions and make suggestions for how to resolve unpleasant encounters in order to benefit both the person and the animal.

AWR believes education is key to many wildlife issues. Please email outreach@austinwildliferescue.org for more information.
