Since 2022, AWR has seen a 40% increase in orphaned and injured baby wildlife rescued in May. With your support, we will continue to meet these challenges and provide our Central Texas wildlife with the care and support they need return to the wild where they can thrive in our beautiful Texas habitats. 

In 2025, Austin Wildlife Rescue broke a new record, rescuing 10,745 wild animals - more than any in our 48 year history. Every animal we saved is a story of survival, and every story began with someone like you.

This season, Austin Wildlife Rescue faced record-breaking intakes, including 200+ animals rescued during the July floods and a baby fox who survived a storm drain and two fractured legs. We even treated a rattlesnake with a lip injury (yes, he’s now the most intimidating desk pet in Texas).

In our Summer 2025 Critter Chronicle, you’ll meet the elusive ringtail (a.k.a. “Austin’s Unicorn”), watch a black coyote make his comeback, and learn how you can help us raise $70,000 to keep this wild operation running strong.
