Taking in over 10,000 wild animals in need each year is NOT an easy task... but it IS incredibly rewarding. Job Location:

• Rehabilitation Center 111 Elbow Bend, Elgin, TX 78621

Pay Rate: $16/hour

Scheduling:

• We have full time positions available: 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts

• There will be multiple shifts each day: 6am-4pm, 10am-8pm, and 11am-9pm.

• The schedule is created for the entire season and your weekly days to work will be the same, but shift times will vary. You must have flexibility to work all shifts

Responsibilities/Duties:

• This is a very physical job that requires a lot of movement & the ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Cleaning cages

• Feeding animals

• Administering medications

• Maintaining care plans for injured animals

• Providing direction/guidance to interns and volunteers

• Assisting the public with animals they bring to our facility

• Adhering to protocols for animal care and safety

• Communicating needs and issues effectively with coworkers and supervisors

• Following instructions

Requirements/Preferences:

• Proof of Tetanus vaccine up to date (within the last 10 years) is required and the cost is the responsibility of the employee.
