The New Rehabilitation Center

Now Open!

Each year we find that more and more wild animals are in need of our care. In 2014, Austin Wildlife Rescue purchased 6.7 acres of land in Elgin, Texas to begin construction on a larger, permanent rehabilitation facility.

Until April of this year, Austin Wildlife Rescue was operating out of a 3-bedroom house in Austin, depending heavily on at-home rehabilitators since 2003. The new Corgan Center, includes a large rehabilitation center complete with a surgery suite, food prep area, quarantine space, and individual rooms for different species of wildlife. Outside, we have small mammal cages, raptor flight cages, and deer pens. We will continue to take in animals at our central Austin location as well as the new facility.
